Computer
Finally got the new computer. I think the only change from the last part was the case. The one I listed and originally ordered had USB 2 ports on the front but was out of stock. After waiting a week I cancelled and went with the Antec One with 3.0 USB in front. Only problem is I have no USB header on the motherboard so will have to sort that out at some point.
Gaming is good. Downloaded Far Cry 3 and will get involved tonight. Last weekend Battlefield was free to play on Steam, and this weekend Counter Strike is free. Getting a good feel what I enjoy, what works well, and what I'll buy after I get into Far Cry.
All in all a good outcome. I'm admittedly counting on the year end bonus on a few months to sort out the payment, but the computer is about a third of what I've had to pay for bloody case resit courses, so it's not like I've suddenly racked up this cost just for the heck of it.
Considering my dad's computer constantly has viruses, maybe I can work out a swap for my old MacBook!
